Evaluation of immunotoxicity and immunogenicity

The immune system plays a central role in the prevention and development of a disease. Immune diseases include immunodeficiency diseases and diseases caused by a disturbed body reaction to a substance.

Immunological analysis methods are therefore becoming increasingly important in drug research and development. For example, immunoassays are used during the investigation of biological test systems to detect different biomarkers, hormones and antibodies.

Our immunoanalytical services

Immunoanalytics at Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing in Munich offers biomarker analyses and pharmacokinetic investigations that contribute to the assessment of immunotoxicity and immunogenicity.

Our service portfolio includes various immunoassays such as the ELISA test, ligand binding tests, professional isolation and cryopreservation of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and customized cell-based assays.

In addition, we have extensive expertise in fluorescence-based flow cytometry (FACS), such as the identification and characterization of immune cell populations in different species.

Our technical equipment for immunoanalytical studies includes an in vitro cell culture equipment, two flow cytometers (FACSCanto II, HTS module, eight colors), a monochromator-based microplate reader (absorption, fluorescence, luminescence), a 12-detector TopCount scintillation counter and the latest multiplexers from MSD (Meso QuickPlex SQ 120), which enable the detection of up to ten cytokines/chemokines per sample by electrochemiluminescence.
