Our interationally operating olive oil panel is officially recognised

Update as of Dec 2023. The olive oil panel "Hanseatisches Olivenölpanel" of Eurofins Analytik GmbH was again recognised by the International Olive Council (IOC) in December 2023 as a panel for the assessment and control of organoleptic characteristics of olive oil.

The International Olive Council (IOC)

The International Olive Council (IOC) is the world's only international governmental organisation that brings together the stakeholders of olive oil and table olive producers, country envoys and consumers. It was founded in Madrid in 1959 under the auspices of the United Nations and reports directly to them. Among other things, the Council regulates global quality standards and uniform testing methods for olive oil, which the European Union implements directly in its legislation.

COI Recognition

After many years of accreditation of the olive oil panel according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and the appearance on the EU list of officially recognised and approved groups of testers according to Article 4 of Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 2568/91, the olive oil panel of Eurofins Analytik GmbH has been crowned with COI Recognition for the first time in 2020.

We provide you with the usual sensory results, which additionally and without surcharge comply with the COI specifications. Thus, this olive oil panel measures up to international standards and comparability. This recognition completes our claim to quality and portfolio in the olive oil sector. Information about the IOC recognition procedure can be found on the website of the International Olive Council.
