WEBINAR: Allergens in Food
Advantages and Disadvantages of Common Allergen Detection Methods
Jan 2020. Many people are directly affected by food allergies and must strictly avoid the respective food. The authorities protect them through mandatory labelling of important allergens as ingredients. However, since allergens also enter food unintentionally, the food industry faces a particular challenge.
In this webinar, you will learn how detection and quantification techniques can help you manage allergens and identify production risks. Our speaker Dr Sandra Kerbach will show you the advantages and disadvantages of different test methods and factors influencing the detectability using many practical examples.
- Legal requirements (e.g. allergen labelling)
- Advantages and disadvantages of common analytical methods
- Threshold values (e.g. VITAL concept, ALS action values)
- Case studies and practical examples
At the end of the webinar there will be time for your individual questions.
