The determination of skin moisture by means of the condenser method has been established scientifically for many years now. It has now gained world-wide acceptance as an efficient method to determine the water content of the stratum corneum under different experimental conditions. The method is highly reproducible and in numerous publication it is described as suitable for demonstrating efficacy by means of moisture measurements.
