7th International Rice Conference at ANUGA: current opportunities and Challenges in international rice trade

As a special highlight, Eurofins once again invites customers from industry, trade and retail to this year’s Rice Conference at ANUGA, focusing on current developments in the international rice market. International rice producers and traders will discuss sustainable rice cultivation, compliance with legal requirements in key export markets, pesticide and mycotoxin control, and the authenticity of high-quality rice varieties such as basmati, jasmine, sushi, and risotto rice.

Global perspectives, innovative insights, and engaging discussions

Look forward to a high-level lecture programme focusing on quality, sustainability, and trade in the international rice market. Eurofins will open the event with an introduction to its rice testing programme, followed the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) a global stake-holder alliance, which will report its latest developments and achievements. International experts from the USA, Pakistan, and Cambodia will share insights into opportunities, challenges, and export strategies in their respective regions.

The UN World Food Programme will present the latest research findings on the stability of vitamins and minerals in fortified rice kernels. The programme will be rounded off with interesting contributions from Eurofins on residues, contaminants, and cutting-edge authenticity testing using DNA analytics. The conference will conclude with a joint discussion and outlook on the future of global rice trade.
