New Method for Determining the Geographical Origin of Olive Oil Based on 1H-NMR Spectroscopy

The method utilises a database of reference samples from different origins, which have been collected over several years. The NMR-profile of the sample in question is compared to these reference samples in order to verify the origin of the oil.

Currently, we analyze olive oils from the most important producing countries Italy, Spain and Greece. The method is accredited according to ISO 17025 as “Eurofins Profiling (Olive Oil Screening)”.
